Other Fandoms: Xf is my main one, followed closely by Battlestar Galactica, followed by Buffy, Dollhouse, and Doctor Who; I also watch Fringe and Chuck but am not into the fandom.
Shipping Preferences (FedEx is not an acceptible answer): I'm an MSR OTP type, but I have a slightly different read on their relationship than most, which I think shows in how I think/write about them. I also am totally convinced that Mulder and Krycek had something going on at some point, but not something deeply emotional, just deeply hot.

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? I'm a fic writer, and I'm gradually posting all my stuff over here on my journal.
Favorite Season/Arc? S4, especially the cancer arc, just because it is fucking brutal.
Mytharc or MoTW? Mytharc until it gets absurd. I'm a sci-fi junkie, and I like the mystery.
Hottest Season and Why? Ungh, S5 in a heart beat. Seriously, only season 5 Mulder could ever seduce me away from the pleasures of lesbianism, for realz. And that's about when Scully went from pretty to OMFGWHAT hot.
You get to be locked in an elevator with one regular character for two hours? Who do you pick and what do you do? I'm pretty sure I would fail at being in an elevator with anyone; I'm pretty sure Mulder and I would get into some bizarre little ego-measuring fest wherein we would try to hide our innate insecurity by trying to be smarter than each other, Scully and I would probably sit there in silence and she'd be freaked out if I stared at her for the whole time, Skinner or Doggett and I would have less than nothing to talk about. Probably I'd have the most pleasant time with Reyes, just because she's nice and friendly and I need very chatty people to draw me out. But, even given all this, I think I'd prefer to be in the elevator with Mulder, because maybe we'd get over our issues and by the time we got out we'd be having some serious conversation about the meaning of socks or whatever.

I am also convinced that Mulder and Krycek had something going on, during season two. After Scully's abduction and Krycek's betrayal, I am much less willing to entertain even hot sex occurring between them. I have no need to read the pairing, or any other pairing, for that matter. But I will if the writing is strong enough.

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? Lots of XF fic back in the day when I was young and procrastinating the completion of my dissertation made lots of time to play.
Favorite Season/Arc? 2, 5, 6, 7 - basically any mytharc ep where the favorite villain made a dark, shadowy appearance.
Mytharc or MoTW? I loved the mytharc before it became too convoluted. Always enjoyed the humorous MoTW though.
Hottest Season and Why? 2 - because you know that Mulder and Krycek were under each others skin from day one.

Oh my. A fellow non-theist. :-) I prefer to just respond to the question of religion with "irrelevant". Actually, I wish (at times) that I could have blind faith. Damned brain just won't stop asking all those nagging questions that demand logic and reason though.

It can be a tricky world though, being faithless surrounded by friends/family who believe without question. Fortunately, respect trumps dogma or anti-dogma. ;)

I realized recently that I only really ever ship canon, and that most of the time I find will-they-won't-they stuff really tiresome. (I do tend to count M/K as canon, because, WHY HULLO THAR SEXUAL TENSION seems to be their thing.)

You know, I like the s7 MSR...but then I get resentful about how they played it out in 8&9, so I have to ration my rage as I'm watching. *g*

Favorite Season/Arc? I honestly can't decide, but usually I go with season 3 overall. But I really love seasons 2-6, bc most of my favorite MoTW episodes came from these seasons, and even though I started to get a bit wonky with the Mytharc around season 6, I still think overall the show was at its peak creatively during this time. Favorite arc? Definitely the cancer one, bc I can remember being a small kid and actually being scared that they'd kill Scully off the show! (I was like 9 or 10 years old ok, lol!)

Hottest Season and Why? Seasons 4/5/6. Everyone was smokin' hot during these seasons.

I agree about 2-6 being the core of the show--the part where they really, really got it right.

Is it weird being a fan of both old and new BSG? Are they just completely different objects in your head, or do they link up?

LOL, well it was weird at first. Bc I grew up watching reruns of the original show, and so at first I was a bit put out by Starbuck being a girl (mainly bc little 9 year old me use to heavily crush on male!Starbuck, though funnily enough after falling in love with new BSG I ended up having a girl crush on female!Starbuck, lol, so yeah, I guess I just love Starbuck or something) and stuff like that, but I though the mini was so good that I'd give the new series a shot. For a long time they were completely different in my head as a result, but after the recent series finale, I actually see it as one big thing now. I also started watching the old series again on the weekends as well, and I hadn't realized just how much of the new show took little stuff from the old one and just made it deeper, darker, etc. So overall, right now in my head there's definite room for them to link up, lol.

Other Fandoms: Stargate Sg-1 was my first online fandom. Star Trek:TOS was my first media fandom. I am feeling pretty excited about the new movie. I am also feeling very upset that the only recent T.V. Show I have loved and avidly watched, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is probably going to be canceled.
Shipping Preferences (FedEx is not an acceptible answer): I don't ship characters, in any fandom. I prefer gen fic, in every fandom. However, I will read anything, if it is well-written, even if I don't know the source material, ie bandom, where I have never even heard of the bands. Lengthy and/or gratuitous sex scenes (unless it's for a Porn Battle) are often a reason for me to stop reading a story. For example, there is a well-known, very heavily recced SGA story that I couldn't even get through the second chapter of because of the number of ridiculous, pointless and unbelievable sex scenes. For Mulder and Scully, I prefer the UST to the RST.
Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? I write fic for The X-Files, and other shows, books etc, on occasion.
Favorite Season/Arc? I like first season when they are young and relatively unscathed.
Mytharc or MoTW? MoTW because all of the funny episodes (my favorites) are MoTW, except for one.
Hottest Season and Why? I don't think of the characters that way. On the other hand, I think DD and GA look pretty damn good right now.

I would interview him, asking endless questions about what he was doing, feeling etc. during the three months when Scully was missing. I also want the real story of his relationship with Diana. I mean all the dirt. How did they meet, did they in fact ever marry, why did they break up? Everything. This would save me so much time.

I'm glad to hear that you're excited about the new Star Trek. I can't help but think it's...too shiny? Or something? But I never got into the original, so have no sentimental attachment to the characters. The Enterprise being built is pretty hot looking, though.

The first season is so cute. Little baby face Scully! She warms my heart. I also am just stunned by GA's talent then--every time I watch Beyond the Sea, I have a little DAMN, how much younger than me is she? moment.

Sorry--mytharc is all the episodes having to deal with the consortium/aliens/Samantha/CSM/etc, and MoTW stands for "monster of the week," all the standalone cases.

Scully would accept your hug, but be really freaked out about it. Unless you got s9 Scully. Who would cry, and that would be awkward.

Other Fandoms: Phantom of the Opera is where I'm most involved. I also love Lawrence of Arabia, BtVS, BSG, general film stuff though that's not really a fandom, Sherlock Holmes... Most of these I'm more on the fringes of, and I've never participated in XF fandom before. I thought this would be a good opportunity to rekindle my love.
Shipping Preferences (FedEx is not an acceptible answer): I'm strongly MSR in my head and in good fic but had no desire to see it on the show. I guess you could say, in classic terms, I was MSR UST on the show, and UST or RST or UST-->RST in fanworks. But I'm totally open to all other 'ships. I'm not very OTP-driven. And I like gen, too.

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? I've written silly drabbles with Scully in them, and I sometimes roleplay Mulder very badly.
Favorite Season/Arc? Hmm, I came in during the cancer arc, so I'm pretty fond of that.
Mytharc or MoTW? Mytharc until CC started messing with it and ret-conning too much for me. I checked out for good after Season 7 and still haven't returned.
Hottest Season and Why? 5, maybe? That's not really how I viewed the show, but I find them both pretty attractive, and Scully definitely dressed better by then.

Mulder and Scully both fascinate me, and I feel I have an equal chance of having a decent conversation or falling flat on my face with either. I relate a little more to Scully, and ultimately am more interested in her, but I think for that brief encounter Mulder might be easier to draw out and have a conversation with, casual or deeper. With Scully, who I really do like, I feel I might be tempted to press her on the religion vs. science thing and then she'd shut down. Mulder, if I pointed out his inconsistencies, probably wouldn't be quite as bothered.

30, still angsty about it

Yeah, what is it about not being in your 20s that is so freaky? I mean, I'm freaking out at the idea I'm almost there, but...it's not like 30 is actually old. I guess it's that I finally have to be a real grownup, huh?

So, do you think it was *possible* for RST to have worked on the show, and that the application was just off, or that it was impossible, couldn't have been done? I'm of school A--they botched it hardcore, but I can imagine ways of handing M/S being together that wouldn't have been the trainwrecks that were s8/9.

Scully's wardrobe really got it together after she had cancer. Probably she got too skinny for all her suits so bought a brand new set, lol.

I have no idea! It's an arbitrary number, really, just because it has a "0" after it. But I guess it's surprising to me how "adults" still seem like a separate category. This may be because I have no children and I'm not a doctor or lawyer or some other "responsible profession."

So, do you think it was *possible* for RST to have worked on the show, and that the application was just off, or that it was impossible, couldn't have been done?

Hmm. That's a good question--I think it's possible, but not likely. I frankly don't trust that the creators had a delicate enough hand, but all factors in alignment may have created the right environment for it. And I'm not sure it's something I needed from the show--I thought the UST was great, and let to some great fic where the RST was dealt with admirably.

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? Fic and meta mainly. I'd love to be good at icons and vids, but I am rubbish with that aspect of technology. I also suck at art.
Favorite Season/Arc? Ooh! Tough one. I like them all for different reasons. S3 I keep coming back to as one of my favourites as it has Jose Chung's, Clyde Bruckman's and War of the Coprophages, but I also like S6 for the mytharc (and The Unnatural).
Mytharc or MoTW?I fluctuate between the two. I lean towards MOTW for watching, but mytharc for writing.
Hottest Season and Why?S6 has a lot of Mulder hotness, and the whole flirting thing, which is really cute.

That's my probably with not being able to write BSG fic yet--I can't figure out how I would get into the plot, because it's so tight. XF, there are eleventy billion holes, and I can just waltz right in and do my thing.

Mytharc or MoTW? Mytharc. I recently rewatched the whole thing from S1-5 for ficcing purposes and damn it was good back before CC forgot which way was up. But I love MotW episodes too.
Hottest Season and Why? I have waxed lyrical about S5 Mulder on several occasions. I still have no clear idea of what exactly happens in 'The Pine Bluff Variant'. Maybe I need to watch it with my eyes closed to avoid the distraction...

Did you ever watch CSI (the original, Las Vegas version)? Grissom/Sara is a really similar pairing, and it's handle much better, especially the reveal. There's no OH HAI WE'RE DOIN' IT moment, but a subtle realization that things have changed between them outside of work, leading to minor reveals of their private lives, leading to it starting to matter. It was just handled much more respectfully for the characters.

Other Fandoms: I haven't participated in any fandoms, including X-files, except for Xena way back in the day and House briefly a couple of years ago. Some other shows I really really like are Buffy, Bones, Smallville, Charmed, Tru Calling, Veronica Mars and Supernatural. I don't have cable or even a decent antenna, though, so I hardly every watch tv anymore.

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)? Not really. I draw (mostly cartoonish stuff), write songs, and make videos, but have done much fan stuff.
Favorite Season/Arc? Season 1, if I had to pick a favorite.
Mytharc or MoTW? MotW. I have a hard time keeping up with the mytharc, even when I watch the episodes back to back. I do remember the cancer arc being a really big deal to me when it originally aired.
Hottest Season and Why? I just can't decide.
You get to be locked in an elevator with one regular character for two hours? Who do you pick and what do you do? I'd pick Mulder, probably. I don't know what we'd do. It'd probably be really awkward at first with him trying to figure out how to get out and me just standing there. Then he'd probably give up and make some joke about it, and we'd just sit there hot and bored for two hours. Maybe he'd share some sunflower seeds with me though.

Now that reception is digital, I think you should be able to get good T.V reception for the price of a converter box.

Not that there is anything that great about current TV. We mostly watch sports. If you have the internet and a decent (non-dial-up) connection you can actually watch on your computer. I watch shows on hulu.com, for example but I know there are other alternatives, too. Torrents, whatever the heck they are.

I have a converter box, I just live pretty far from the tv stations, so if the wind blows, I lose the signal. Plus, I've gotten pretty spoiled to dvds. I'll check out hulu though. Thanks!

Do you do any sort of fanworks (art, fic, meta)?: I had never even read any fan fic before I entered the X Files Fandom and personally I don’t really like a lot of it. I have considered attempting to write some but not got around to it yet. I am however an artist so I’ve done a couple of acrylic paintings inspired by the show and since branching into graphic design (using Gimp) I have made icons, banners and mood themes.
Favorite Season/Arc?: Season 7. I think there are some amazing episodes among that season. Closure and Hollywood AD, X Cops. Season 5 is a close second.
Mytharc or MoTW? :I enjoyed the mytharc to a point but thought the ending was a disappointment. The ending just seemed so….weak. Some of the MoTW eps have been awesome in their own right.
Hottest Season and Why? Season 6: – Scully had some nice suits in that season and there are some great shipping moments. Mulder is always hot…regardless of the season. Even S1 with the goofy glasses!

Mytharc or MoTW? Hmm... I'll admit that some of the Mytharc episodes just bored me, but there were some really gripping ones and it was always nice to see a bit more of the conspiracy revealed. It did get pretty silly towards the end, though. The MoTW episodes were usually just lots of fun and it was kind of nice to take a break from the Mytharc and enjoy a random, often humorous plot line. It's hard to choose between the two because they're both essential to the show, but I'll go with MoTW because I tend to enjoy them more.
Hottest Season and Why? 5 because Scully's hair started looking awesome during that season.
