Squee Fest!
Over at
three_weeks_for_dw,
erda had a really cool idea for the fest: that there should be MOAR SQUEE. Basically, that most DWenizens are srs bsns thoughtful folks who write all sorts of cool critiques of canon...but that it's also fun to flail, SO LET'S DO SOME FLAILING!
I was wondering if anyone here would be up for doing a Day! Of! Squee! here at
philedom for the festival. We could designate a day when we would all post squeeful things, or people could claim days and topics and post for them. It wouldn't have to be deep or well-organized: just a statement about why a thing is awesome. Could be a character, a ship, a season, an episode.
Any interest? Any claims?

I'm not sure what I want to claim right now.

1) people make content
2) that they don't crosspost
3) and folks playing along/following the tag feed make an extraspecial effort to go and comment on other people's posts and keep some sort of cheerful site-wide vibe going
4) because DW is teh ossum!!!1!
And that's about it. Frankly, I'm just thinking of this as an excuse to build community here, enliven the fandom, yadda yadda yadda.
When you figure out a topic for squeeage, just yell it out! I'm certain we all have distinct enough things to adore that everyone should be able to find something...

If we're gonna do it all on a central day, is there a day or day-of-the-week that works well for you in the next three weeks?

Any day in the next two weeks should be fine; after that I may be too busy.
