There is a semi-plausible reason for every scene mentioned by the OP but this one, which is truly, without a shadow of a doubt, purely gratuitous. Is my mind playing tricks on me, or does it look like Krycek is about to swoon? This scene has inspired fanfiction, even a four issue 'zine with the dubious title "Red Speedo Diaries."*
