Hello, X-Philes! Are you enjoying season 11 so far? I'm not.

I have resurrected the Scully in 155 challenge for the unofficial round of halfamoon. So far, I have posted two new 155s to the community (and AO3). I invite you to write your own and share it.

I'm enjoying it way more than S10, that's for sure. Haven't seen tonight's ep yet. I don't have a TV, so I'm catching up via Hulu.

If nothing else, it makes me happy to see our little fandom come back to life, at least for a little while. I miss it (and everyone in it) so very, very much. I just hate that some fans I once knew have now passed away and can't share it with us.

Season 10 was about as bad as it could get. After that, I decided I'd had enough. I watched Darin Morgan's episode.

Just forget S10 ever happened. After all, the writers and characters did. (Some things never change, LOL!) This one has not been too bad.

Things I hate: GA's hair. Wish I'd never learned it was fake. And I don't know what's up with that whispery, raspy, tragic sounding voice she's doing now. But that's how she's playing the character, so I guess we have to live with it. But they've both looked a little more lively this time around. Last time, I swear they looked like they were sleepwalking. I'd heard they were both sick at that time. Not sure if that's accurate, but it would explain some of it. I can't imagine they're still sick this time. I think they're both just sick and tired of the roles/show. I can't say I blame them. I don't know why they keep agreeing to something that is clear they no longer enjoy.

The hair I could have lived with. It's the poor acting choices and the crap writing, and the total retcon of nine years of canon, which drove me away from watching this season.

They're working actors. I'm thinking money is a big factor. Duchovny has child support and alimony to pay. GA never made as much as DD, up until her final season. She's got two kids to put through school and I have no idea what her financial arrangements are with their father. I assume they got a fair amount to come back. Maybe nostalgia to some extent, from the 20th anniversary.

I hope GA sticks to her guns and refuses further offers.

One thing I definitely don't believe is money troubles from any celebrities. I've had my account at a dollar at times. That's money trouble!

But whatever their reasons for agreeing, they could at least act (pun intended) like they're enjoying it, and try to give it their all. That's the part that bugs me. If you're that bored/uninterested/tired, it shows. And no amount of makeup or lighting can hide it.

I look forward to catching up on the current, Skinner-centric episode via Hulu. He was always my favorite!

I'm enjoying it. Which is easy after season 10, which tought me to never forget that, whatever happens, I'll always have the earlier seasons and I can just employ denial, if necessary.

I learned that during season nine, I think, but point taken. No matter where they go from here, we'll always have the original series.
