Hey, Philes--

So, three_weeks_for_dw is fast approaching again. Last year, I made some discussion posts and we had our squee!fest. I'm wondering what we'd like to do this year (if anything).

One idea I had would be to do an XF-specific fandom appreciation challenge, where we had some sort of competition or something--points for submitting XF prompts or fills to 3W4DW comment-fic fests, maybe our own drabble competition, points for doing recs lists or metas or leaving feedback or IDK what. Something! A party! Maybe even a competition with a prize of some sort?

What do people think? What would be fun to do? What would be exciting?

Do you think a contest of some sort would get people involved? I don't mind organizing such a thing, but I only want to do it if people are going to play...

I will totally get involved! I will even talk about it incessantly on my LJ so that LJ folks might get involved, too. Or just get annoyed at me talking about it incessantly. Whatever.

I've been thinking of hosting a Mulder/Scully friendship fic (or maybe even just any X-Files character friendship fic, or any fandom friendship fic, if I want it to be more popular) comment fic competition. I don't know how many people would be into that, though. Friendship fic doesn't seem to be that popular, though that's kind of why I wanted to do something like that...

Having reread more closely, a competition sounds like a lot of fun and I would be really into it!

Hey, working up 21 challenges would not be that hard. Do you want to start brainstorming them here? ::grinning:: Especially if you throw in icons, or fanmixes, or banners, or 'random artwork of your choice.' Hell, an X-Files themed word cloud could be neat.
